Fronteers — vakvereniging voor front-end developers

Fronteers 2010 is coming! (18-05-2010)

Fronteers 2010 will take place on the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th of October in Amsterdam. We believe that the Fronteers conference will offer the best of front-end development. We believe that only the best speakers will inspire you and elevate your skills to a higher level. Today we're announcing two more speakers and our second workshop. The awesome line-up in combination with the possibility to attend a workshop makes it a very wide schedule this year -- enough reason for you to be part of Fronteers 2010.

Speakers

First off, we welcome the Brendan Eich as one of this year's speakers. The father of JavaScript will tell us about the future of the world's most misunderstood programming language. He'll also explain how browsers will handle performance issues now and in the future -- a subject that is getting a lot of attention lately.

Because we don't underestimate the value of design-related subjects, we added Jina Bolton to our wishlist as well. She enthusiastically committed to Fronteers 2010 and will tell us more about sexy web design and CSS.

Fronteers 2010 will be a one track event. We acknowledge that some of the advanced JavaScript sessions might be less interesting to some of our attendees. But.. Don't worry: We decided to host an informal CSS Q&A session in parallel with these sessions so you can choose what suits you best.

Second workshop

One of the interesting people who will most likely be available at one of those CSS Q&A sessions, is Dan Rubin. He will host our second workshop on Tuesday (details will follow) and attend the conference as well. This workshop will also take place in the Kremlin room at Felix Meritis.

End of early-bird period

By the end of June the early-bird period for conference tickets will end. Until then the ticket prices will remain as they are. Be sure to get your tickets soon, they're going like hot cakes.

Sponsorships

We're still looking for some sponsors for this year. If you're interested or think that your boss should attend, let us know and you'll be a VIP during the speakers dinner on Wednesday.

Follow us on Twitter

We'll use our @FronteersConf twitter account to keep up a running stream of minor updates, so if you're not following us yet, you know what to do.

Of course you can also subscribe to our RSS feed, or leave your e-mail address to receive updates in your inbox.

Help us

Our venue, Tuschinski offers a lot more (and good!) seats this year. We need your help to fill some of them. If you believe in what Fronteers will deliver, please do write about our conference on your blog, Twitter, et cetera. We won't let you down :) If you need badges, we've got those!

See you all in October!
