Fronteers — vakvereniging voor front-end developers

The last couple of speakers (14-09-2012)

With about three weeks to go, we can announce the last couple of speakers for Fronteers 2012: Peter-Paul Koch, Stephen Hay, Jeroen Wijering and Alex Russell.

As the man behind Quirksmode.org and the founder of Fronteers, Peter-Paul Koch needs no introduction. His compatibility tables have helped a lot of developers to get into the intricate details of the browser quirks. The last couple of years, Peter-Paul has indulged himself in the (im)possibilities of mobile browsers.

Stephen Hay, also known as “Captain Flexbox”, has surprised the conference the last couple of years with talks about advanced CSS and responsive webdesign. This year he will discuss style guides.

Jeroen Wijering is the creator of the well known JW Player. Even YouTube has used this player for a while. Jeroen has not been sitting still and kept developing the player to the comprehensive player it is now. Jeroen will talk about HTML5 video and subtitles.

Alex Russell is one of the Chrome developers and contributes to the latest JavaScript specification. This year Alex will join Fronteers with a talk called “What the legacy web is keeping from us (and why it's not any more)”.

If you have not had the opportunity to buy a ticket yet, there is one last chance. On September 22nd, on 12:00 CET, we will sell the last ten tickets. Keep an eye on @fronteersConf.

The badges are being printed, the goodies are on their way and the applications for speakers for the Jam Sessions keep pouring in. The preparations for Fronteers 2012 are in full swing.

See you in three weeks!
