Backbase - leader in the market for Ajax technology - is offering a Ajax Solutions Internship focusing on new and exciting Ajax applications still to be created. The Backbase platforms offers for a standards based structured approach for rich applications development and maintenance. Your role will be to aid in the creation, development of these new proof of concept applications.

During your internship you will be able to explore the difficulties in combining multiple patterns and technologies to create dynamic Ajax based solutions in an exciting market. The main project will be co-defined while you are familiarize yourself and contribute to all the systems, languages, frameworks, protocols and technologies involved in application building process.

You will be practicing agile methodology and learning how to translate theory to practice, sharpening your technology business and technical skills. You will be working in the Development headquarters of Backbase, located in Amsterdam, and learn to communicate in an international environment.

Requirements

• Interest and good understanding of web technologies
• Good understanding of User Interaction design and principles
• Knowledge of cross-browser development
• Good knowledge of JavaScript and CSS
• Good command of the English language
• In a college or university working on a graduation project

Additionally, a variety in front and/or back end technical skills in may be required depending on the details of the project. Knowledge and some experience in the following languages could be considered: Backbase, Java, PHP, JSP, SQL, XML, JavaScript, CSS, and DHTML.
