Backbase is growing and therefore we are looking for new colleagues! We are looking for Senior Frontend Consultant to empower our current Professional Services consulting team. As a Senior Frontend Consultant within Backbase in Amsterdam you will be working within a leading and innovative web 2.0 company, which specializes in Customer Experience 2.0 software and services.
Backbase works for enterprises like ABN AMRO, KPN, ING, Philips, Visa, AIG, EMC, Vanguard and IBM. Because of the growing number and size of projects that Backbase undertakes, the need for experienced Senior Frontend Consultants that know how to deliver crispy interfaces of Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) is eminent. Backbase is looking for frontend consultants that are up to the challenge.
Professional Services (PS) Team
The PS department of Backbase in Amsterdam consists of 2 teams:
- UX Design Team
- UX Engineering Team
As a Senior Frontend Consultant you are a part of the Engineering Team and you will report to the Technical Director.
The goal
Working as a Sr. Front-end consultant you will collaborate with strategic clients in the design, development and evolution of mission critical web applications. You will be challenged to implement complex and modern web applications based on Object Oriented architecture and applying solid programming patterns without loosing the creativity aspect of the work in hand. Our Sr. Frontend Consultants do a wide variety of work including Ajax training and best practices consulting, frontend technical design, and application development on high quality standards.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate for this challenging position as a Sr. Frontend Consultant within Backbase will fit the following profile:
- Minimum of 4 years experience as a Frond-end Developer
- An expert on the required skills; (X)HMTL, CSS, JavaScript, DOM, XML, XPath and XSLT.
- Master in cross-browser compatibility issues
- Good understanding of Object Oriented architecture
- Some experience in Java/.Net/PHP is desirable
- Experience with performance tuning, reusability and maintainability of Ajax software.
- Quality driven & pixel-perfect focused
- Experience with automated testing of frontend deliverables is a plus (e.g. Selenium)
- Understanding and experience on architecture design patterns is an advantage
- Able to mentor junior colleagues and guide customers.
- You possess excellent communicative skills in English and preferably also in Dutch.
