Description
Assignment Duration: 3 months.
As a Senior JavaScript Developer you will be responsible for developing new features and complete requirements for our web-based messaging clients, used by millions worldwide. You will be part of a compact and focused team of engineers, working closely with the backend team, QA engineers, product owners, graphic and UX designers.
Your role will be to develop, deploy and maintain scalable web application and websites. You will be involved in all stages of development from specification to implementation, testing, debugging, deployment and maintenance. You are a hands-on team player, working with others in an agile development (Scrum). You have an eye for detail and a quality-oriented approach and you like to constantly research and experiment with emerging technologies.
Required skills and qualifications
- Computer Science Degree or equivalent work experience;
- At least 4 years of experience as a Frontend Developer
- Expert in Object-oriented Javascript development (jQuery, W3C Dom, Ajax);
- Excellent knowledge of HTML5 / CSS3 and responsive design;
- Experience with web application performance tuning;
- Solid understanding of server-side programming and architectures;
- Good understanding of HTTP protocol and REST services;
- Experience with Scrum/Agile development;
- Fluent in English
Nice to have
- Experience with server-side programming using Node.js;
- Experience with Javascript unit testing and automated testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium);
- Mobile web development experience;
- Knowledge of web server configuration and deployment (Apache 2, Nginx).
