Job position: Lead FrontEnd developer at Y Technologies (Amsterdam)
Y Technologies is a startup developing an exciting new service that is set to revolutionise how companies find funding and how investors can find new opportunities.
One of our biggest challenges is to implement a modern webbased frontend that will make something as complex as corporate financing not just fast, easy and reliable, but a pleasure to use.
As our lead FrontEnd developer it will be your responsibility to determine the direction of the frontend of our applications, both in terms of user experience (together with our design/UX expert) and technical implementation.
You have the confidence and experience to make key decisions when it comes to making key technical choices, and are able to lead and coach our mostly backend oriented development team so that together we can create a state of the art experience on top of sustainable, high quality code.
Key skills
- HTML5, CSS
- Javascript
- Responsive design
- CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS, etc.)
- Advanced Javascript frameworks (Backbone, Angular, etc.)
Our own toolbox consists of stuff like:
- Symfony2
- Behat
- Amazon AWS
- ElasticSearch
- Redis
- MySQL
- Jenkins
And many other bits and pieces. Any overlap between this and your experience would be an advantage.
Given the international nature of our team and product, English is essential.
