Why Is This Role Cool?
As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Sparkcentral you will be a part of our small Engineering team, working with some amazing, splendiferous, majestic, top-notch, smart, sharp, terrific engineers. (Okay, I just looked up as many synonyms I could find for “smart and very good”.) But really, whenever anyone comes to interview they always let us know our engineers are pretty awesome.
You will be imagining, implementing, testing, and iterating on new features. You will help scale a web application that is used by some of the world’s largest brands. You will be working in a diverse, dynamic environment that leverages multiple tools and languages while constantly trying to find ways to remove obstacles, and weaknesses that slow you down.
You’ll Be a Serious Contender If…
You are passionate about Sparkcentral; our technology, our products and our people. You are a self starter and have the ability to pick any language or tool that is the right for the job and “run with it”. You have solid knowledge about Javascript frameworks and libraries like Backbone, Marionette, React or Redux and you don't regard "non-blocking" and "async" as challenges but as the only way forward. You write ES6 JavaScript, maybe annotated with FlowType or even use TypeScript. You have an understanding of object-oriented and functional programming and have experience setting up real-time REST API centric apps. You have experience participating in free and open source software development, and your browser’s developer tools bear no secrets. You also have strong intra-team communication and the ability to express ideas; you have opinions on how things should be planned, implemented, and maintained. You are dedicated to unit testing, code review and other quality-oriented practices and you have an understanding of internationalization and localization concerns and associated headaches. You must have thorough knowledge of HTML5 and CSS, with experience with Node.js and UX knowledge. If you have experience building tools that interact with social networking and CRM services, then we gotta have you!
