Tickets for Fronteers 2014
Yes! We're almost ready! Tickets for Fronteers 2014 will be going on sale in just a matter of weeks. As you may well know by now, Fronteers 2014 will be held in Amsterdam on the 9th and 10th of October 2014. Just like the previous years the talks will be a high-quality mix of all things concerning front-end development. The line-up is filling up steadily and it's going to be a great one! We will reveal the first speakers after the early bird tickets have sold out. In the meantime we will tease you with some of the subjects that we'll cover: customization of JavaScript and the related tooling, responsive layout and scalable HTML & CSS. Remember, this is just the tip of the iceberg, there is so much more to come!
Tickets
Tickets for the conference will be available from 25 April (approximately around 12:00 CEST) and can be bought in our ticketshop. There is a total of 150 (100 for members, 50 for non-members) early bird tickets and as we say in the Netherlands "gone == gone" so mark 25 April in your calendar.
We expect the non-members early bird tickets to sell out in a couple of hours, after which the regular non-member tickets will become available. The amount of member tickets should be enough to last about a week but of course we cannot guarantee that.
If you are a Fronteers member you will get the usual discount. We will send you a newsletter with instructions on how to use said discount. Please keep in mind that only those who already were a member at the time of this announcement (8 April 2014) are eligible for the member discount
One important change to note is that you'll have to pay the tickets via the ordering system; we no longer accept separate payment at a later date. If this causes problems for you, please let us know. Direct payment via iDeal and creditcard is of course still possible. See our terms and conditions for more information.
A short update
With that all out of the way we thought this is a good moment to give a general update. Things are going really well. As written above the line-up is filling up nicely. Of course we had some drawbacks as well (it's sometimes hard not to get too disappointed when you get a speaker's rejection). We were sad to see on of our team of volunteers, Carlo, leave. We are however very very happy that Jan stepped in and took over for him. He'll oversee all attendee correspondence, he is also in charge of ticket sales and will take care of the videos.
The venue is set (and you won't believe it, but the seats are even better this year!), the workshops have almost been arranged (they'll be announced separately at a later date) and we have a neat logo (still a secret though!).
Need a ticket.
But we have some good news: there will be an option to buy a workshop + conference ticket but these tickets will be very limited in their numbers and we expect them to sell out in a matter of minutes.
We will announce the sale of the workshop tickets around 2 weeks before the sale starts. The announcement will be done here on the website and on twitter. (Follow @fronteersconf).
After that all tickets are officially gone. But that doesn't necessarily mean you won't be able to get a ticket. In our experience there are always people who want to sell their ticket. Just as in previous years we will retweet people who are selling their tickets.
