Fronteers 2014 side events
Of course all of you come to Fronteers every year for the great content our speakers provide, to meet up with people you check in with once a year and to enjoy two great days amongst your peers.
But a lot of you also come for our great side events, the After Party and a few light alcoholic beverages. This year we have even more fun events around the conference and in this blog post we want to give you a heads up on what to expect during the conference days.

Web Platform Doc Sprint
Even though it was only a small crowd, last year's Doc Sprint was great. That's why Web Platform will host a Doc Sprint again in Amsterdam! If you're passionate about the web and want to join like-minded contributors don't hesitate to join. Together you will help document the web platform and improve the WebPlatform.org user experience which will benefit us all. And because this year's Doc Sprint will take place the day before the conference you can't use a hangover from the Fronteers after party as an excuse!

Fronteers 2014 Typowalk
Recognizing that type is an important part of the web, last year we had some great talks by Oliver Reichenstein and Lucas de Groot on typography and the enormous passion that goes into creating beautiful type faces. This year, we want you to experience type in the wild and take you on a typographic safari in Amsterdam.
Jeroen Visser will show you some of the city's most beautiful typography, used on bridges, buildings and their importance in the city scape.
Fronteers 2014 Jam Session
The Jam Session probably needs no introduction, but for the two of you who have no clue what we're talking about we will briefly explain. Ever wanted to share your ideas, like our speakers do on our conference stage? This is your chance. In short bursts of 10 minutes, we give our attendees the chance to share their thoughts, rant about their worst browser experience, show off the project they're most proud of or share a mind-blowing insight they've recently had. Usually the venue is packed to capacity, so if you can survive this crowd, you're probably ready for the big stage next year! To participate for the Jam Session on Wednesday October 8th you need to register and pitch your idea and if we like it we'll give you a spot in the limelight.
Fronteers 2014 After Party
After the first conference day, when you are overwhelmed by the terrific insights and concepts of our speakers, you'll probably need to unwind. And what better way to do that than grab a few drinks with your friends. Or better yet, make some new ones over a refreshing beverage at our after party. Of course we'll pick up the tab, so you don't need to worry about that. This years After Party will be in the lovely Amstelkerk.
WebPerfDays Amsterdam 2014
For those of you hanging in or around Amsterdam a while longer after the conference and want to geek out some more, we've got you covered. On Saturday October 11th, WebPerfDays.org will host WebPerfDays Amsterdam 2014. WebPerfDays uses a mixed format that combines formal presentations, ignite sessions, and the open spaces format.
