A heat wave, and four new speakers for #fronteers15
Posted on June 30, 2015
It's almost July and the sun-starved Netherlands are preparing for a heatwave this week. The Fronteers 2015 organizers want to share this heat -- with YOU -- by revealing a set of four new speakers for our October event. Grab an ice cone and take a look.
Fronteers is proud to add four new names to our all-star line-up. As you may have seen, we've asked Chris Heilmann if he would like to return to speak to you, and to our great joy, he agreed. Also returning is the man who introduced you to the malodourous horrors of your CMS's smell at Fronteers 2012 - Phil Hawksworth. Furthermore, we're proud to welcome Rejo Zenger, of Dutch digital rights advocacy group Bits of Freedom, who will address front-end developers' responsibility (and power!) to protect freedom in our society. Rounding out this new group of speakers is Anna Debenham, who will be speaking about front-end style guides in what might just be this year's most practical talk.

Ticket Sales III: The Final Batch
Ticket sales, meanwhile, have been crazy even before there was any sign of a heat wave hitting Amsterdam. Thank you all! Our first two batches of tickets have sold out - the second one within a minute - and we're gearing up for the start of the final batch of tickets, next Friday, July 10, at 12:00 CEST. We're selling the final 75 tickets at the Fronteers ticket shop, plus any tickets from previous batches that have gone unpaid. Set your alarms & see you Friday the 10th.
Fronteers conference is one of Europe’s largest conferences on front-end web development, organised in Amsterdam yearly since 2008. The eighth edition of our single-track community conference will be held in the beautiful Pathé Tuschinski theatre on Thursday and Friday, October 8-9, 2015. A complementary day of hands-on workshops is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7.
