Fronteers — vakvereniging voor front-end developers

Fronteers 2009 sponsorships

Fronteers, founded in 2007 as the professional union of Dutch front-end engineers, aims at increasing the knowledge and professionality of its members as well as front-end engineers in general. A conference is an excellent means to this end.

The Fronteers 2008 conference was a huge success, and right now the organising committee is working on making Fronteers 2009 a worthy successor.

Meanwhile Vodafone, Mirabeau, Microsoft, Opera, and Xopus have agreed to become main sponsors of this event; and this means the main sponsorships are sold out.

Nonetheless the organisation has noted that there is a lively interest in sponsoring Fronteers 2009. Therefore we offer the minor sponsorships described below. We aim at about four to five minor sponsors.

Facts

  • Date: 5th and 6th of November, 2009
  • Venue: Felix Meritis, Amsterdam
  • Ticket price: 350 euros; see also the pricing scheme

Target audience

Fronteers 2009 exclusively aims at front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). As a result the target audience consists wholly of front-end engineers.

We ask all our speakers to dig deep into a technical subject of their choice, and thus we sacrifice breadth to attain depth; something that's rarely done at international web conferences and was received very well in 2008.

At the time of writing about 160 tickets have been sold, and altogether we expect about 250 to 300 visitors. A small majority comes from the Netherlands, but Belgium, Germany, England, Scandinavia and several other countries are also represented.

See also the attendee list.

Minor sponsorship

Cost: 1000 euros, to which 19% Dutch VAT will be added.

Benefits:

  • Website and booklet will show the sponsor's logo (though less prominently than the major sponsors' logos)
  • Every sponsor can add something to the conference bag.
  • The sponsor has the option of showing a short film on the LCD screens that are present in the break area. (Minor sponsors will be allotted less time than major ones.)
  • All badges of all attendees that work for the sponsor, will be branded with the sponsor's logo. Thus the sponsor and its employees become easily recognisable for other conference attendees.
